Vincent P. Blanford

Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2003 for 85-year-old Vincent P. Blanford of Ste. Genevieve who died Tuesday, June 17 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Oct. 14, 1917 in Weingarten, the son of the late Edward and Matilda (Drury) Blanford.

He was married to Ilene (Abell) Blanford on June 27, 1938. She survives in Ste. Genevieve.

Two sons and three daughters survive, John "Jack" Blanford of Moscow Mills, Mo.; Richard "Rick" Blanford of Troy; Betty Dette of St. Peters; Rebecca Boyd of Coffman; and Barbara Sleet of Winfield.

Two sisters survive, Edna Conley of Marietta, Ga.; and Dollie Okenfuss of Ste. Genevieve.

11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and six great great grandchildren also survive him.

Four brothers and one sister, Cecil Blanford, Clarence Blanford, Matthew Blanford, Harvey Blanford and Margaret LaMastus, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 19 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Basler funeral Home.

Funeral service for Vincent P. Blanford will be held Thursday, June 19, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church. Rev. Irvin Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery.
