Cecil J. Clifton A funeral will be held Saturday, August 2nd, 2003 for 89-year-old Cecil J. Clifton of Ste. Genevieve, who died today, (Thursday), July 31st, at his home. He was born March 12th, 1914 in Menfro, the son of Norman W. Clifton and Grace Jane (Foster) Clifton, who both preceded him in death. He married Marcella Cahoon on August 15th, 1952 in St. Louis. She survives. Survivors also include: two sons, Cecil Terry Clifton of Ste. Genevieve and Tracy Allen McDonald of Fredericktown; two daughters and one son in law, Barbara Ann Clifton of Ste. Genevieve and Tonya Annette and Scott Fallert of Ste. Genevieve; one step child Joan Howard of Missouri City, Texas; four brothers and two sisters in law, Virgil Clifton of St. Louis, Lawrence Clifton of Jones, Indiana; Francis and Elliote Clifton of Scottsdale, Arizona; Martin and Viola Clifton of Perryville; one sister, Irene Hager of Perryville; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren ; and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Friday, August 1st at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A funeral for 89-year-old Cecil J. Clifton of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 2nd at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be at the Crestlawn Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Barry Winders will officiate.
