Eugene H. "Bim" Giesler A funeral will be held Saturday, February 15th, 2003 for 83-year-old Eugene H. "Bim" Giesler of Ste. Genevieve who died Thursday, February 13th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. He was born Saturday, September 13th, 1919 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Eugene Giesler and Emily (Bahr) Giesler, who both preceded him in death. He married Lerneda C. Fallert on September 28th, 1946 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. She survives. He is also survived by two sons and daughters in law, Daniel and Sharon Giesler and Richard and Rhonda Giesler, all of Ste. Genevieve. He is also survived by four daughters and three sons in law: Karon and Terry Coff of St. Louis; Jeanie and Joe Harrison of Hardin, Kentucky; Mary and Everrett Anderson of St. Louis; and Jane Giesler and her close friend Dan Monia of Ste. Genevieve. Three sisters and brothers in law survive: Vera and Wilbur Donze and Dorothy and Gilbert Eckenfels, all of Ste. Genevieve and Mary and Ray Palmer of Ozora. Sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive him. A son, Jim Giesler, also preceded him in death. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2210 in Ste. Genevieve, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1848 of Bloomsdale and American Legion Post No. 150 in Ste. Genevieve, was past president of the Carpenter's Union and a member of the Ste. Genevieve Saddle Club. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. this (Friday) afternoon and evening at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A VFW and American Legion service will be held at 7 p.m. this (Friday) evening at the funeral home. A funeral for 83-year-old Eugene H. "Bim" Giesler of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 15th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be at the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Raymond Hager will officiate. Memorials may be made to masses.
