Edna I. Figge A funeral will be held Friday, December 12th, 2003 for 85-year-old Edna I. Figge of Ste. Genevieve who died Tuesday, December 9th, 2003 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. She was born Tuesday, May 14th, 1918 in Weingarten, the daughter of Edward and Julia (Glaser) Long, who both preceded her in death. She married Gilbert F. Figge on Septmber 22nd, 1941. He preceded her in death. Survivors include: three sons and daughters in law, Kenneth and Loretta Figge of Ste. Genevieve, David and Sharon Figge of Bloomsdale and Kevin and Debbie Figge of Ste. Genevieve; four daughters and three sons in law, Theresa and Mike Gegg of Ste. Genevieve, Sharon and Dennis Werner of Zell, Denise Bleckler of Ste. Genevieve, and Kathy and Ed Lewandoski of Brocton, Massachusetts; a daughter in law, Mary Fran Figge of St. Louis; two brothers and sisters in law, Joseph and Berdella Long of Weingarten and Eddie and Duella Long of Mehlville; a sister and brother in law, Anna Marie and Bernard Herman of Lawrenceton; 22 grandchildren; six great grandchildren and three more on the way. A son, Frank G. Figge, and two sisters, Rose Schilly and Elizabeth Schilly, also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 11th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A funeral for 85-year-old Edna I. Figge of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 12th at the St. Joseph Church in Zell. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Revs. James Hanson and Urban Figge will co-officiate. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph School or Church, the Alzheimer's Association, or to the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital Oncology Department. |
