Lena M. Cox

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2003 for 88-year-old Lena M. Cox of Ste. Genevieve who died Sunday, April 20, 2003 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 27, 1916 in Iron County, the daughter of the late Fred T.
and Salome (SA-LOME-EE) (Crocker) Vest.

She was married to Odell H. Cox on June 18, 1941. He survives in Ste. Genevieve.

Three sons and two daughters survive, Kenneth E. Cox of Ste. Genevieve; Samuel R. Cox of Ste. Genevieve; Charles E. Cox of Rolla, Mo.; Gloria F. Means of Ste. Genevieve; and Alana G. Drury of Garland , Texas.

One brother, Fred G. Vest, survives in Tocoma, Washington.

22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive her.

One son, Gary W. Cox; four sisters, Lucille Vest, Mildred Vest, Josephine Herzog, and Irene Pfeifer; and one brother, Ray Vest, preceded her in death.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ste. Genevieve and taught Sunday School for over 20 years.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2003 after 4:00 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Basler Funeral Home. Rev. Barry Winders and Rev. R.D. Kaylor will co-officiate. Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery.
