Leona C. Basler A funeral will be held Thursday, April 17, 2003 for 91-year-old Leona C. Basler of Ste. Genevieve who died Tuesday, April 15 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center. She was born December 5, 1911 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of the late Antone and Rosa (Bahr) Viox. She married to Raymond B. Basler on Sept. 9, 1934. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1993. Two children survive, Earl Basler of Ste. Genevieve and Mary Rose Webery of Ozora. Brothers and sisters surviving are Ray Viox, Francis Viox and Marie Bader, all of Ste. Genevieve; and Rosella Huber of Zell. Nine grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild also survive her. Two grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Rosemary Sieber; and three brothers, John Viox, Henry Viox, and Anthony Viox preceded her in death. She was a member of Western Catholic Union. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16 after 5:00 p.m. Funeral service for Leona C. Basler will be held Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Basler Funeral Home. Burial will be at Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. John Deken will officiate. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf. |
