Leo J. Hoog

A funeral will be held Monday, November 18th, 2002 for 89-year-old Leo J. Hoog of Ste. Genevieve, who died Thursday, November 14th, 2002 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 30th, 1913, the son of Thomas and Emma (Baumann) Hoog,who both preceded him in death.

He married Edna M. Basler on August 30th, 1937 in River Aux Vases. She survives.

He is also survived by three children: Thomas and Sandy Hoog of Longmont, CO; Betty Jo Smith of San Dimas, CA and Mary Ann and Dale Litteken of St. Louis.

Four sister and two brothers also survive: Rita Grein of Ste. Genevieve; Catherine Krussel of St. Louis; Marie Schweiss of Ste. Genevieve; Lucille Herzog of Coffman; Henry Hoog of Zell and Joseph Hoog of Ste. Genevieve.

Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Leo; a sister, Theresa Wimer and a brother, Carl.

He was a member of K of C Council 1037 in Ste. Genevieve.

Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 17th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The K of C will meet at 7 p.m.

Funeral service for 89-year-old Leo J. Hoog will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Ste. Genevieve with Rev. John Deken officiating. Burial in the Valle Spring Cemetery.
