A funeral will be held Monday, April 1st, 2002 for 77-year-old Mary Ethelene Hughes of Ste. Genevieve who died Thursday, March 28th at Riverview Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Saturday, October 25th, 1924 in Belleview, the daughter of Arthur H. Richardson and Ella (Sutton) Richardson who both preceded her in death.

She married James V. Hughes on October 14th, 1942 in Benton. He survives in Ste. Genevieve.

She is also survived by four sons and daughters in law: James and Georganna Hughes of Ellington, Joseph and Martha Hughes of Jefferson City, Stephen and Sharon Hughes of St. Charles and Mark and Mary Hughes of Ste. Genevieve.

Nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive.

Two sisters, Pauline Wadle and June Doughty, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 31st from 6-9 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 77-year-old Mary Ethelene Hughes of Ste. Genevieve will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 1st at the First Baptist Church in Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Park in Arcadia.
