Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2002 for 79-year-old Leola A. Gegg who died Sunday, June 16 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1922 at River Aux Vases, the daughter of the late Phillip J. Jokerst and M. Kreitler.

She was married to Martin J. Gegg on Oct. 29, 1946. He survives in River Aux Vases

The following children survive: Betty Ann, Mrs. Glennon Stretch, of Ste. Genevieve; Clarita Marie, Mrs. Terry Grass, of Zell; Larry Joseph Gegg of River Aux Vases; Garry Joseph Gegg of Ste. Genevieve; and Kevin James Gegg of Ste. Genevieve.

One brother, Leroy H. Jokerst, survives in Jonesboro Ark.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Christian Mother’s Sodality, VFW Post 2210 Auxiliary, and Western Catholic Union.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at Wood Family Funeral Home. The VFW Auxiliary will meet at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral service for Leola A. Gegg will be on Wednesday, June 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Phillip and James Church in River Aux Vases. Monsignor James Hanson and Deacon George Wood will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
