A funeral was held recently for 30-year-old Eric David Akins of Farmington, formerly of Ste. Genevieve who died Sunday, June 30th, 2002 at his home.

He was born April 12th, 1972 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of James D. "Jim" Akins of Ste. Genevieve and Carolyn A. (Hendricks) Akins of Farmington who survive.

He is also survived by a son, Dustin James Akins of Kaskaskia, Illinois; a brother, Ryan Akins of De Soto; a half-sister, Laura Akins of Ste. Genevieve; a step-sister Stacy Abt of Ste. Genevieve and his step-mother Marsha Akins of Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 30-year-old Eric David Akins was held Wednesday, July 3rd at the Dietrick Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
