A private funeral service is being held for 81-year-old Lillian Layton Finley formerly of St. Mary, who died Monday, January 7th, 2002 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Thursday, January 15th, 1920 in St. Mary, the daughter of William L. Layton and Mary Grace (Reed) Layton who both preceded her in death.

She married "Gene" Cuff. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law: Norman Wray Finley of St. Mary and Tom and Shirley W. Finley of Troy.

One brother, Floyd Layton of Springfield and a sister, Alvena Geile of Cheyenne, Wyoming also survive.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, William and Larry; a sister, Rose Althage; and three brothers, William, Wilfred and Norbert Layton.

Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in St. Mary.
