Funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002 for 96-year-old Elsie F. Hauck of Florissant, Mo, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, who died Thursday, Feb. 7 at her residence.

She was born on Aug. 24, 1905 in Mitchell, Ill., the daughter of the late Henry Luke and Magdalena (Nutmeyer) Poppen.

She was married to Walter E. Hauck on Oct. 28, 1928. He preceded her in death.

One son, Charles Hauck, survives in Florissant.

One sister, Frances Miget, survives in Edwardsville, Ill.

Also surviving are two grandchildren, Cheryl Smith and Brian Hauck; and 6 great grandchildren, Heather, Brian, Jessica, Emily, Kyle, and Jake.

One daughter, Doris Hauck, preceded her in death.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Royal Neighbors of America.

There was no visitation.

Funeral service for Elsie F. Hauck was held Saturday, Feb. 9 at 2:30 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home. Rev. Tish Mundy officiated.

Burial was in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
