Joseph W. Gremminger Funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002 for 93-year-old Joseph W. Gremminger of Ste. Genevieve who died Wednesday, Feb. 6 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home. He was born on October 22, 1908 in Zell, the son of the late William and Mary (Schilly) Gremminger. He was married to Philomena "Phil" (Grass) Gremminger on Nov. 14, 1932. She survives in Ste. Genevieve. Three daughters survive, Roscella Naeger of Ste. Genevieve; Rosalie Brumfield of Ste. Genevieve; and Lucille Giesler of Perryville. One brother, Anthony Gremminger, survives in Marysville, Cal.; and one sister, Susan Henderson, survives in Ste. Genevieve. Fourteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren also survive. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1037 of Ste. Genevieve. He was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers; Agnes Glaser, Elvina Palmer, Fred Gremminger, Glennon Gremminger, Christian Gremminger, William Gremminger and Meinrod Gremminger. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 8 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home. The Knights of Columbus will meet at 7 p.m. Friday. Funeral service for Joseph W. Gremminger will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Church of Ste. Genevieve. Rev. Raymond Hager will officiate. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society. |
