Margaret L. DeRousse

Funeral service was Monday, Feb. 4, 2001 for 89-year-old Margaret L. DeRousse, formerly of Kaskaskia who died Friday, Feb. 1 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Ste. Genevieve.

She was born on Sunday, March 17, 1912 in Modoc, Ill., the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (DeRousse) Louvall.

She was married to Louis A. DeRousse on Oct. 10, 1929. He preceded her in death in 1971.

Ten children survive, Gerald DeRousse of Imperial, Mo.; Donovan DeRousse of East Carondelet, Ill.; Robert Derousse of Herrin, Ill.; Louie DeRousse of Kaskaskia, Ill.; Lawrence DeRousse of Herrin, Ill.; David DeRousse of Perryville; Yvonne Heberlie of Perryville; Helen Basler of Ste. Genevieve; Virginia Blythe of Ste. Genevieve; and Marge Welker of Eureka.

Forty-six grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren also survive her.

She was preceded in death by one son, Louis DeRousse; one daughter, Carol Johnson; four sisters, Mae Mueller, Nadine Louvall, Alvina Davidson, and Virginia Louvall; four brothers, Howard Louvall, Arthur Louvall, Madera Louvall, and Dan Louvall.

Funeral service for Margaret L. DeRousse was held Monday, Feb. 4, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church at Kaskaskia. Rev. Richard Kasznel officiated. Burial was in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Kaskaskia, Ill.
