William E. Anderson
He was born July 16th, 1922 in Hobart, OK, the son of Ernest Anderson and Hilda (Eskridge) Anderson who both preceded him in death. He married Virginia (Oberle) Anderson on March 3rd, 1946. She also preceded in death. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark Anderson of Austin, TX and Stephen and Debora Anderson of Buda, TX. A daughter and son-in-law also survive, Lynne and Dave Thomas of Shreveport, LA. A brother and sister-in-law also survive, Robert and Lavern Anderson of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was the former Mayor of Ste. Genevieve, a 4th degree member of the Ste. Genevieve Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 150, VFW Post 2210 and Ste. Genevieve Elks #2674. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday, August 15th at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Genevieve. There will be an Elks Service at 6:30 p.m., VFW and American Legion Services at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral for 80-year-old William E. Anderson will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 16th, 2002 at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve with the Reverend John Deken officiating. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
