James L. Coleman Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2002 for 61-year-old James L. Coleman of Caruthersville, MO who died Tuesday, April 2 at Twin Rivers Hospital in Kennett. He was born on April 18, 1940 in Banner, Mississippi, the son of the late Hollie Nathan and Ida Tamberly (Davis) Coleman. He was married to Sarah (Brogglin) Coleman. She survives in Caruthersville. The following children survive, James Lamar Coleman of Braggadocio; Nathan Wayne Coleman of Caruthersville; Dale Ann McBride of Valley Park; Donna Sue Borden of Arnold; Holly Lynn Duncan of Decatur, Ill.; and Wendy Marie Claggett of Braggadocio. Two brothers and one sister survive, Dudley "Buddy" Eugene Coleman of Arnold; Hollie Floyd Coleman of St. Paul, Minn.; and Pearl Chisholm of High Ridge. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Two sisters and one brother, Wilma Owens, Flora McCullar and Bobby Lee Coleman, preceded him in death. Visitation will be Friday, April 5 from 4-8 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home. Funeral service for James L. Coleman will be held Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home. Rev. Irvin Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery.
