Carroll A. Drury

A funeral will be held Tuesday, September 18th, 2001 for 70-year-old Carroll A. Drury of Bloomsdale who died Saturday, September 15th at his home.

He was born January 2nd, 1931 in Bloomsdale, the son of Stephen J. Drury and Emma V. Ruebsam who both preceded him in death.

He married Anna Marie Schmidt on August 25th, 1956 in Ste. Genevieve.

He is survived by three daughters and sons in law: Debora and Ted Coalter of Cape Girardeau, Sandra and Stephen Meyer of Ste. Genevieve and Sharon and Brian Figge of Ste. Genevieve.

One son and daughter in law survive: Kenneth and Terry Drury of Bloomsdale.

A brother, Everett Drury of Bloomsdale, also survives him.

Ten grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

One brother, Stephen H. Drury, also preceded him in death.

He was a member of St. Agnes Church, Knights of Columbus Council No. 1848, American Legion Post No. 554 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2210.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Bloomsdale Excavating until his retirement.

The members of the VFW and American Legion will play their respects at 7 tonight, Monday, September 17th at the Wood Family Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 70-year-old Carroll A. Drury will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 18th at St. Agnes Church in Bloomsdale. Burial will be in the St. Agnes Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Oge will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the St. Agnes School Building Fund or to masses.
