A funeral will be held Wednesday, September 19th, 2001 for 72-year-old Thelma J. Austin who died Saturday, September 15th in Festus.

She was born April 2nd, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Harvey Labadie and Jeanie Walback who both preceded her in death.

Four daughters survive her: Eva Bley of Bloomsdale; Thelma Royal of Festus; Dawn Dick of Muskegon, Michigan and Colleen LaPeer of Afton, Michigan.

Two sons also survive her: George Hislop of Fort Meyers, Florida and Rick Hislop of Sheboygan, Michigan.

Two sisters survive: Delores Slocum of Gaylord, Michigan and Frances Allen of the state of Michigan.

She was a member of the St. Lawrence Church in Lawrenceton.

A funeral for 72-year-old Thelma J. Austin will be held at 10 a.m.Wednesday, September 19th at St. Lawrence Church in Lawrenceton. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Oge will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
