Rose Frances Bahr Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 15, 2001 for 84-year-old Rose Frances Bahr of Ste. Genevieve who died Wednesday, Sept. 12 at her home. She was born on Oct. 6, 1916 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of the late Rudolf Linderer and Rosie Kreitler. She was married to Cletus Bahr. She preceded him in death in 1979. Children surviving are Leroy Bahr of Topeka, Kan.; Wayne Bahr of Ste. Genevieve; Elaine McClure of Ste. Genevieve; Norma Weinrich of Algonquin, Ill.; Marilyn Reterford of Oak Ridge; Delores Jones of Nacodoches, Tex.; Cleta Hlavachick of Howard, Col.; Rose Day of Plymouth, Minn.; and Sharon Duvall of Brewer. Brothers and sisters surviving are Johanna Bahr of Festus; Corinne Sansoucie of Crystal City; and Rudolph "Bud" Linderer of Festus. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. Three sisters, Leona Mechelhoff, Dorothy Resinger and Laverne McCulloch; two children, David Bahr and Janet Looker; two grandchildren; and one great grandson preceded her in death. She was a member of Sodality of Mary, and Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2210. Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 14 from 4-8 p.m. at Wood Family Funeral Home. The Sodality of Mary will pray the rosary at 4:30 p.m. Friday. Funeral service for Rose Frances Bahr will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. at Church of Ste. Genevieve. Father Deken will officiate. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Masses, Ste. Genevieve Church Preservation Trust, Valle Schools or Hospice Care. |
