Funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 for 96-year-old Gertrude M. Bequette Wilder who died Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on May 24, 1905 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of the late Christian L. Nauman and Florence Thomure.

She was married to Felix a. Bequette on Aug. 9, 1921. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1967.

She was then married to E. Eugene Wilder on Sept. 8, 1969. He preceded her in death.

Children surviving are Felix C. Bequette of Ste. Genevieve; Norma J. Myers of Ste. Genevieve; John P. Bequette of Zell; Robert A. Bequette of St. Mary; Gerald F. Bequette of Ste. Genevieve; and Carol A. Fallert of Ste. Genevieve.

One sister, Sylvia Ross, survives in Cathedral City, California.

Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Three children, David a. Bequette, Camille F. Bequette and Arthur Bequette; two sisters, Camillie Nauman and Fredonia M. Naeger; one brother, Perry Nauman, two grandchildren; and one great grandchild preceded her in death.

She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wood Family Funeral Home. The VFW Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m.

Funeral service for Gertrude M. Bequette Wilder will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Ste. Genevieve.

Burial will be in the Valle Spring Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may go to the Ste. Genevieve Church Preservation Fund.
