Clarence V. ‘Bucky’ DeRousse A funeral will be held Thursday, May 3rd, 2001 for 69-year-old Clarence V. "Bucky" DeRousse of Zell who died Monday, April 30th at him home. He was born May 14th, 1931 on Kaskaskia Island, the son of Everett DeRousse and Bessie McClain who preceded him in death. He married Anna M. Pfaff on September 30th, 1952. She survives in Zell. He is also survived by two sons and one daughter in law: David DeRousse and Mike and Lori DeRousse, all of Zell. Three daughters and two sons in law also survive: Kimberly DeRousse of Oakville, Sandy and Thom Gumm of Camdenton and Suzanne and Gene Meyer of Labadie. One brother and sister in law survive: Joe and Bernetta DeRousse of Ste. Genevieve. Three sisters and one brother in law survive: Jean and Don Brown of Ste. Genevieve, Jewell Maloney of Ste. Genevieve and Juanita Swyers of Festus. Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive him. One brother and two sisters also preceded him in death. He attended St. Joseph Church and was a member of the Golden Age Club -- where he served as a board member, Ste. Genevieve Elks Lodge No. 2674, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2210, Ste. Genevieve Knights of Columbus Council No. 1037 and he was also active with the pro-life group in Ste. Genevieve. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 2nd at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Elks Lodge will gather at 6:30 p.m. There will be a VFW service at 7 p.m. and the local pro-life group will gather at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral for 69-year-old Clarence V. "Bucky" DeRousse of Zell will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3rd at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Zell. The Rev. James Hanson will officiate. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare, Inc. or the local pro-life group.
