A funeral will be held Saturday, March 24th, 2001 for 84-year-old Sheldon Z. "Bud" Bergtholdt, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, who died Saturday, March 17th, 2001 at the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare Center.

He was born April 4th, 1916 in Carthage, SD, the son of Dave Bergtholdt and Olive Zink. They both preceded in death.

He married Ann Parisi on October 7th, 1950 in St. Louis. She survives.

He is also survived by a son, Gary Bergtholdt of Sylmar, CA, a brother, John Bergtholdt of Ste. Genevieve, four sisters, Marge Churchill of Portland, OR, Donna Jensen of Kansas City, Dorothy Sproull of Ste. Genevieve and Ruth Wind of Colorado Springs, CO.

One grandchild also survives.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

He was a member of the Optimist Club of North Hills.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday, March 23rd at Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 84-year-old Sheldon Z. "Bud" Bergtholdt, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24th at Basler Funeral Home. The Reverend John Deken will officiate.

Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery.
