A funeral will be held Monday, July 30th, 2001 for 78-year-old James P. Herzog of Ste. Genevieve County who died Wednesday, July 25th at Missouri Baptist Hospital.

He was born September 6th, 1922 in Coffman, the son of Henry B. Herzog and Catherine Basler Herzog who both preceded him in death.

He married Doretta Gegg on November 14th, 1954 in Coffman.

He is survived by two children and their spouses, Teresa and Kenneth Gadell and Jimmy and Susie Herzog, both of Ste. Genevieve.

A sister, Susan Herzog of Ste. Genevieve, and a brother, Barney Herzog of Coffman, also survive him.

Two grandchildren, Cory and Tyler Herzog, also survive him.

He was also preceded in death by six siblings: John, Leonard, Edgar, Raymond and Elizabeth Herzog and Rose Naeger.

He was a farmer.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 29th from 4-9 p.m. at the Wood Family Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 78-year-old James P. Herzog of Ste. Genevieve County will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 30th at the St. Catherine Catholic Church in Coffman. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials may be made to masses or donor's choice.
