Orville T. ‘Buss’ Ayers

A funeral will be held Friday, July 20th, 2001 for 89-year-old Orville T. "Buss" Ayers of Ste. Genevieve, who died Tuesday, July 17th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 26th, 1912 in Farmington, the son of John Thomas Ayers and Julia Ayers. They both preceded him in death.

He married Mary Lou Ayers on August 25th, 1934 in Farmington. She preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by one sister, Edna Boyd.

He was a mechanic and member of VFW Post No. 2210 and Trowel Lodge 440 AF & AM of Marble Hill, MO.

He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday, July 19th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A Masonic service conducted by Saline Lodge 266 AF & AM of St. Mary will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 19th and a VFW service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

A funeral for 89-year-old Orville T. "Buss" Ayers of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 20th at the Basler Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. Michael Woods will officiate.
