A funeral will be held Thursday, February 1st, 2001 for 79-year-old Stella Mae Giesler of Ste. Genevieve, who died Sunday, January 28th at St. John's Mercy Medical Center.

She was born November 26th, 1921 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of John Oberle and Maude Dacey, both preceded in death.

She married August "Goose" Giesler on November 21st, 1946, he preceded in death.

She is survived by two sons: Joe Giesler of Atlanta, GA and John Giesler of St. Louis. One daughter: Mary Kindberg of Melbourne, FL.

She is also survived by two brothers: Bob Oberle and John Oberle. Two sisters also survive: Ginney Anderson and Adele Jokerst, all of Ste. Genevieve.

She was also preceded in death by a son and a brother.

She worked at Peveley Dairy before moving home to Ste. Genevieve to work as a nurse for the Ste. Genevieve R-2 School District. She attended the Church of Ste. Genevieve.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 31st at Basler Funeral Home.

A funeral for 79-year-old Stella Mae Giesler of Ste. Genevieve will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 1st at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Reverend John Deken will officiate. Burial in the Valle Spring Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Masses or to the Valle Schools Foundation.
