A funeral will be held Wednesday, December 19th, 2001 for 88-year-old Catherine M. Grass of Ste. Genevieve who died Sunday, December 16th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Tuesday, July 29, 1913 in St. Louis, the daughter of James H. Kavanaugh and Mary Ann Kavanaugh who both preceded her in death.

She married Oscar R. Grass on September 24th, 1931 in Bloomsdale. He survives in Ste. Genevieve.

She is also survived by one daughter and son in law, Patricia and Clifford Joggerst of River aux Vases.

She is also survived by three sons and daughters in law, Larry and Marie R. Grass and Roger and Sharon W. Grass, all of Ste. Genevieve and Terry and Clarita Grass of Zell.

She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She also was preceded in death by a son, Jim Grass; a daughter, Kathleen Hollars; 11 brothers, Vincent, Theodore, James, Harry, Warren, Joseph, Edward, Walter, Hermit, Raymond and Lone and one sister, Lillian Kavanaugh.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Sodality of Mary.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 18th after 4 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 88-year-old Catherine M. Grass of Ste. Genevieve will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 19th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Raymond Hager will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
