Maude M. Bayer

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2001 for 96-year-old Maude M. Bayer, formerly of Lawrenceton, who died Sunday, at Crystal Oaks Skilled Nursing Facility.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1905 in French Village, the daughter of the late William P. Vineyard and Lena Sewald.

She was married to Frank Bayer. He preceded her in death in 1982.

Children surviving are Elmer Bayer, Milfred Bayer, and Freda Davis, all of Festus.

One brother and two sisters survive, Norvel Vineyard of Festus; Selma Counts of Festus; and Carrie Lewis of Ste. Genevieve.

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren.

Five sisters, Edna Carron, Melba Ecker, Emma Geiler, Leona Grundmeyer, Clara Holst; two brothers, Charles Vineyard and Willie Vineyard; and one great grandchild preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Tuesday, may 1 at 2 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Maude M. Bayer will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Lawrenceton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
