Ruth M. Buatte A funeral will be held Friday, April 20th, 2001 for 84-year-old Ruth M. Buatte of Ste. Genevieve, formerly of Kaskaskia, Illinois who died today, April 18th at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was born November 22nd, 1916 in Crystal City, the daughter of Ralph S. Pike and Mamie O. Bryant who both preceded her in death. She married James Morris Buatte on May 22nd, 1937. He preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons and daughters in law: Joseph and Linda Buatte of St. Peters and James Jr. and Thomasine Buatte of St. Mary. Four daughters and three sons in law survive: Diana Buatte of Clayton, Donna and Harry Meyer of Ste. Genevieve, Carol and Paul Roth of Ste. Genevieve and Martha and Don Schwent of St. Mary. One sister survives, Mildred Picou, of St. Mary. Two brothers also preceded her in death. She was a housewife and attended the Church of Ste. Genevieve. She was a member of the Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and VFW Auxiliary. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday, April 19th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A funeral for 84-year-old Ruth M. Buatte of Ste. Genevieve, formerly of Kaskaskia, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 20th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
