A funeral will be held Wednesday, April 11th, 2001 for 77-year-old Virginia Ann Anderson of Austin, Texas, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, who died Friday, April 6th at South Austin Hospital in Austin, Texas.

She was born October 31st, 1923 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of John Oberle and Maude Dacey, who preceded in death.

She married William Anderson on March 3rd, 1946. He is the former mayor of Ste. Genevieve and survives in Austin, Texas.

She is also survived by two sons and a daughter in law: Mark O. Anderson of Austin, Texas and Stephen and Debora Anderson of Bida, Texas.

One daughter and son in law survives, Lynne and David Thomas of Bossier City, Louisiana.

She is also survived by two brothers, John and Robert Oberle, both of Ste. Genevieve.

One sister and brother in law survive, Adele and Harold Jokerst of Ste. Genevieve.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A sister and a brother also preceded her in death.

She was a registered nurse and member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2210 Auxiliary.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 10th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 77-year-old Virginia Ann Anderson, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Ste. Genevieve, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11th at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. John Deken will officiate.
