Funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 16, 2000 for 75-year-old Lexie J. "Bucky" Bova of St. Mary who died Saturday, Oct. 14 at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 1, 1925 in Riley Lake, Ill., the son of the late Lexie G. Bova and Alma Heob.

He was married to Lyla M. Gendron. She survives in St. Mary.

One son, Michael, and his wife Cheryl, survive in Ste. Genevieve.

Grandchildren surviving are David M. (Julie) Bova, Jason (Nicole) Samples, Cody J. Bova, Adam M. Bova and Sarah M. Bova. Great-grandchildren surviving are Allison M. Bova and Kara Beth Evans.

He was preceded in death by one son Terry and wife mary Ann Bova; two brothers, Amos Bova and Andrew "Peck" Bova; and four sisters, Mildred Brown, Ethel Howard, Edith Schneider, and Lola Shepard.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Basler Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Lexie J. "Bucky" Bova will be held Monday, Oct. 16, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Rev. Richard Kasznel will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may go to the American Cancer Society or for Masses.
