Mary Hope Hoffmeister Funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000 for 60-year-old Mary Hope Hoffmeister who died Monday, Nov. 6 at her residence in Ste. Genevieve. She was born on January 19, 1940 in St. Louis, the daughter of the late William Hundhausen and Genevieve Thomson. She was married to Linus Hoffmeister, Jr. He survives in Ste. Genevieve. Children surviving are Joe Hoffmeister of St. Louis; Matthew Hoffmeister of Fenton; Christine Barfield of St. Peters; and Elaine Hoffmeister of St. Louis. One brother and one sister survive, John Hundhausen of St. Louis and Linda Ciosek of Hoffman Estates, Ill. Seven grandchildren also survive. One brother, Gene Hundhausen, preceded her in death. She was a member of the Ste. Genevieve Democratic Club, Ste. Genevieve Woman’s Club, French Colonial Ste. Genevieve; and Co-founder of the Ste. Genevieve Winery in 1983. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the Basler Funeral Home. Funeral service for Mary Hope Hoffmeister will be held Thursday, No. 9, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Lawrenceton. Rev. Raymond Oge, Rev. Bob Bousaibin and Deacon Ron Kraft will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial preference is to Masses.
