Funeral service will be held Friday, June 2, 2000 for 79-year-old Vernetta J. Hawn of Ste. Genevieve who died Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center.

She was born on September 8, 1920 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of the late Andrew C. Grass and Hilda Hoog.

She was married to Emmett C. Hawn. He survives in Ste. Genevieve.

Children surviving are Richard A. Hawn of Lynnwood, WA; Ronald J. Hawn of Folsom, CA.; Stephen a. Hawn of Florissant; Thomas F. Hawn of Seattle, WA; Rhonda S. Cox of Lake St. Louis; Joyce L. Jansen of St. Charles; and Jean M. Sadler of Ste. Genevieve.

Brothers and sisters surviving are Andrew Grass of Bloomsdale; John Klein of Gulfport, FL; Dorothy Gegg of Ste. Genevieve; Rosina Mergelkamp of Salisaw OK; and Kate Moranville of Saline, MI.

Two sisters, Iona Joggerst and Anita Weiler, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2000 after 4 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Vernetta J. Hawn will be held Friday, June 2, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Churchof Ste. Genevieve. Rev. John Deken will officiate. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery.
