Theckla C. Flieg A funeral will be held Wednesday, February 2nd for 88-year-old Theckla C. Flieg of Zell who died Sunday, January 30th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. She was born December 21st, 1911 in Zell, the daughter of John Braun and Elizabeth Schwent who both preceded in death. She married Joseph X. Flieg on September 7th, 1931 in Zell. He preceded in death. She is survived by five sons: Charles, and his wife Ruth Ann, Flieg of Ste. Genevieve and Eugene, and his wife Phyllis, Flieg; John, and his wife Margie Flieg; Kenneth, and his wife Anita Flieg; and Royce and his wife Rosemary Flieg, all of Zell. Three daughters survive: Shirley DeCarlo of Yuma, Arizona; Arlene, Mrs. Glenn Roy of Ste. Genevieve and Lucille, Mrs. Louis Schweiss of St. Louis. 26 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren also survive her. Two brothers, three sisters and one grandchild also preceded her in death. She was a housewife and attended St. Joseph's Church in Zell. She was a member of the St. Joseph Ladies' Sodality and Western Catholic Union. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 1st after 3 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A funeral for 88-year-old Theckla C. Flieg of Zell will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 2nd at the St. Joseph Church in Zell. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Zell. The Rev. James Hanson will officiate. Memorials may be made to charity of choice. |
