Joe L. Hawkins

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2000 for 86-year-old Joe L. Hawkins of Ste. Genevieve who died January 22, 2000 at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born on September 29, 1916 in St. Louis, the son of the late Robert and Emma Hawkins.

He was married to Dorothy E. Hawkins who died Dec. 27, 1989.

Children surviving are Linda Yust and Larry Hawkins, both of St. Louis; David Hawkins of Lansdale, PA; Jerry Hawkins of Ft. Worth, Tex.; Gary Hawkins of Dallas, Tex; Jim Hawkins of Herculaneum; and Evelyn, Mrs. Lloyd Schindler, of St. Louis.

Ten grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive.

One brother and one sister survive: J.C. Hawkins of California, and Zelma Jacques of Campbell, Mo.

Three brothers preceded him in death, Bobby, Jim and Raymond.

Visitation will be Monday, January 24 from 4-8 p.m. at Stanton Wood Mortuary.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 25, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Stanton-Wood Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Crestlawn Cemetery.
