James J. Butler

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000 for 69-year-old James J. Butler of Bloomsdale who died Friday, Dec. 22 at Ste. Genevieve Care Center.

He was born on April 9, 1931 in Duck Hill, MS, the son of the late Jesse J. Butler and Lottie Matilda Waters.

He was married to Mable A. Butler. She preceded him in death.

Children surviving are James G. Butler of Arnold; Mary A. Butler of Arnold; Cleta Faye Heidari of St. Peter; and Miriam Gayle Turner of West Liberty, Oh.

Seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

Also surviving is Norma Jean Waler, fiancé, of Bloomsdale.

He served in the Air Force from May 4, 1951 to September 11, 1952.

Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26 at the Basler Funeral Home. Funeral service for James J. Butler will be held Tuesday, Dec. 26 at 11 a.m. at the Basler Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Faulker will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodman Cemetery in Leslie, Mo.
