Herman E. Joggerst A funeral will be held Wednesday, August 9th, for 78-year-old Herman E. Joggerst of River aux Vases who died Saturday, August 5th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. He was born January 6th, 1922 in River aux Vases, the son of Edmund and Catherine Joggerst who both preceded in death. He married Hildagard B. Kist on April 7th, 1942 at Sts. Phillip and James Church in River aux Vases. She survives in River aux Vases. He is also survived by two sons: James B. Joggerst of Jackson and Vincent Joggerst of Cape Girardeau; and by one daughter: Nancy Brischle of Desloge; and one sister: Irma Brischle of Chicago, Illinois. Two brothers and a sister also preceded him in death. He attended the Sts. Phillip and James Catholic Church. He was employed at the Don Heil Oil Company, where he was a truck driver. He was a member of American Legion Post 150 and VFW Post 2210, Holy Name Society and the Sts. Phillip and James Choir. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served from November 21st, 1942 to October 20th, 1945. Visitation at the Basler Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 8th. VFW and American Legion service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 8th at the funeral home. A funeral for 78-year-old Herman E. Joggerst of River aux Vases will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 9th at Sts. Phillip and James Church in River aux Vases. Burial will be in the Sts. Phillip and James Church Cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Reilly will officiate. Memorials may be made to masses or to the American Lung Association. |
