Raymond R. Grein

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 28, 2000 for 85-year-old Raymond R. Grein of Ste. Genevieve, who died April 26, 2000 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home.

He was born on December 14, 1914 in River Aux Vases, the son of the late Frank Grein and Elizabeth Huber.

He was married to Florence Shuh-Gettinger. She survives.

Surviving children are:

Eugene Grein of Zell; Frederick Grein, Glennon Grein, and Jerome Grein, all of Ozora; Rick Grein of Ferguson and Earlene Stackle of Florissant.

Step-children surviving are: Richard Gettinger of Chesterfield; Ray Gettinger of Ozora; Joe Gettinger, Jim Gettinger, Donald Gettinger, Paul Gettinger, Dave Gettinger, Mary Bahr, and Luanne Basler, all of Ste. Genevieve; and Barb Jokerst of Ozora.

Sixteen grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 42 step grandchildren and 33 step great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Grace Bauman; one step-son George "Fritz" Gettinger; one step-daughter Marie Gettinger; four brothers August Grein, Edwin Grein, Emile Grein and Walter Grein; one step-daughter Betty Otte; two grandchildren, and his first wife Margueriet Grein.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, 2000 after 3 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Raymond R. Grein will be held Friday, April 28, 2000 at Sacred Heart Church at 10 a.m. Rev. James Schaefer will officiate. Burial will in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
