Rose Franklin

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999 for 85-year-old Rose Franklin, of St. Mary’s, who died today (Monday). Born on August 17th, 1914 the daughter of John and Mary Elizabeth (Engelman) Bruckerhoff. She married Ira Franklin in Sereno, in 1936, and he survives in St. Mary.

Other survivors include; two sons, Floyd of St. Mary, and Cecil of Oak Ridge, four daughters; Audry Schmelzle of Ste. Gen, Mary Jane Franklin of Ironton, Kay Franklin and Rita Pucong, both of Kaileu Kona, Hawaii. Two brothers survive; Glennon and William Bruckerhoff, both of St. Mary. One step-sister survives; Sadie Miederhoff of Perryville. Fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-granchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, starting at 4pm, at the Basler Funeral Home in St. Mary.

A funeral service for Rose Franklin, of St. Mary, will be on Wednesday, at 11am, at Immaculate Conception Church in St. Mary’s. The Rev. Albert Mattler will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
