Emma E. Flieg

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999 for 88-year-old Emma E. Flieg of New Offenburg, who died Monday at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 18, 1911 in New Offenburg, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna (Hogenmiller) Schwent.

She was married to Herbert Flieg Sr. He preceded her in death.

Surviving children are: Donald Flieg, Herbert A. Flieg Jr., Davie Flieg, and Mary Grass, all of New Offenburg; Jim Flieg of Ste. Genevieve; and Diane, Mrs. Erwin Bauman of River Aux Vases.

Sisters surviving are Rosa Gegg of St. Louis, Helen Gegg of Ste. Genevieve; and Mary Hurst, Martha, Mrs. Tom Schweiss, and Alice Iseman, all of New Offenburg.

Thirteen grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Schwent.

She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Weingarten. And the Rosary Sodality.

Visitation will be Tuesday after 3 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Emma E. Flieg will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Our lady Help of Christians Church. Rev. John Suren will officiate.

Burial in the church cemetery.
