Phillip Herzog

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 14, 1999 for 87-year -old Phillip Herzog, of Ste. Genevieve, who died Wednesday.

Born on June 4, 1911 in Ste. Genevieve the son of John and Mary Regina (Geiler) Herzog, who both preceded in death. He married Rosanna Schilli in 1937, and she survives in St. Genevieve.

Survivors include his wife, 2 son; Donald of Dallas. and John of Ste. Genevieve. Two daughters also survive: Mary Ellen Cabral of Ste. Genevieve, and Joanne Murphy of St. Louis, and a sister, Ann Taylor of Ste. Genevieve. Fourteen grand children and 9 great - great grand children also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, 2 sisters, two half - brothers, and 3 half - sisters.

He was a member of the Church of Ste. Genevieve, and Ste. Genevieve Knights of Columbus, Western Catholic Union, and the Carpenters Union.

Visitation will start at 5pm today, (Thursday) at the Basler Funeral Home, in St. Genevieve. The Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 7pm. Funeral services for Phillip Herzog will be at 1pm Friday, at the Church of Ste. Genevieve. The Rev. John Deken will officiate and burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery.
