William J. Karl

A funeral service will be held Tuesday for 26-year-old William J. Karl of Weingarten who died Saturday.

He was born October 3rd, 1972 in Farmington, the son of Vernon Karl of Ste. Genevieve and Dolores Kreitler Karl of Weingarten. They survive.

He is also survived by two brothers: David Karl and Ronnie Karl, both of Weingarten.

One sister survives: Donna Donze of Ste. Genevieve.

He is also survived by two nieces: Kelsey Donze of Ste. Genevieve and Katie Karl of Weingarten and five nephews: Kory Donze of Ste. Genevieve, Ryan Karl of Weingarten and Nick, Paul and Brad Basler all of Weingarten.

He was a physical therapist.

A 1991 graduate of Ste. Genevieve High School, Karl graduated from Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar in December, 1998 with a masters degree in physical therapy. He had served as class president.

He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Weingarten, Knights of Columbus Council 1037 in Ste. Genevieve and the Jaycees in Weingarten.

Visitation after 2 p.m. today at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. The Knights of Columbus will gather at the funeral home at 7 p.m. for the rosary.

A funeral service for 26-year-old William J. Karl of Weingarten will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Weingarten. Burial in the church cemetery. The Reverend John Suren will officiate.

Memorials may be made to masses or to the Physical Therapy Department at Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar.
