Harriet L. Operle Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 17, 1999, for 94-year-old Harriet L. Operle who died Saturday, March 13, 1999 at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 24, 1905, in St. Mary, Mo., the daughter of the late Walter L. and Matilda (Jordan) Schaaf. She was married to Martin W. Operle. He preceded her in death. She is survived by the following children: Martin W. Operle, Jr. Of Paducah, Ky.; Mary O. Haunert of Ft. Smith, Ark.; and Harriet O. George of St. Louis. Two sisters survive: Marie Decoy of St. Louis and Helen Kribs of Kankakee, Il. Ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death: Jordan Schaaf, Louis Schaaf, Louis Schaaf, Jr. And Addie Rehm. She was a member of Church of Ste. Genevieve. Visitation will be Tuesday after 5 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home. Funeral service for Harriet L. Operle will be Wednesday, March 17, 1999, at 10 a.m. at Church of Ste. Genevieve. Rev. John Deken officiating. Burial in Valle Spring Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Church of Ste. Genevieve. |
