Word has been received of the death of 54-year-old Joel E. McDaniel of Bloomsdale who died Wednesday at his residence.

He was born on June 29, 1944 in Nixa, Mo., the son of the late Earl and Dorothy McDaniel.

He was a truck driver.

He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Giesler of Bloomsdale.

Two brothers and one sister survive: Gary McDaniel and Rex McDaniel, both of Nixa, Mo.; and Sari Doden of Springfield, Mo.

Two grandchildren also survive.

One son, Brent McDaniel, preceded him in death.

There will be no visitation.

Basler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
