Grace Giesler A funeral will be held Saturday, July 31, 1999 for 97-year-old Grace Giesler of Ste. Genevieve who died Thursday at Delmar Gardens West Nursing Home in St. Louis. She was born January 5th, 1902 in Des Arc, the daughter of John Edward Ruble and Lily Dunnigan who both preceded in death. She married Richard Giesler on November 24th, 1917 in St. Francois County. He preceded in death. She is survived by several grandchildren: Larry Giesler of St. Louis, Ray Giesler Jr. of Olathe, Kansas; Russell Giesler of Durham, North Carolina; Sherry, Mrs. Leslie Schmieder, of Ste. Genevieve and Jean Moonier of Perryville. She is also survived by two brothers: Lee Ruble of Des Arc and Marshall Ruble of Annapolis and two sisters: Opal Lee and Mary Stison, both of St. Louis. Nine great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren also survive her. One son and two brothers also preceded her in death. She operated the Old Brick Restaurant in Ste. Genevieve for many years. Visitation will be this afternoon from 3-8 p.m. at the Stanton Wood Mortuary in Ste. Genevieve. A funeral for 97-year-old Grace Giesler will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31 at the Stanton Wood Mortuary. Burial will be in the Valle Springs Cemetery. Deacon George Wood will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Royal Neighbors Foundation. |
