Funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999 for 79-year-old Peter A. Basler who died Feb. 16 at John Cochran V.A. Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born on June 13, 1919 in Bloomsdale, the son of the late Frank X. and Ida Carron Basler.

He was married to Mary Barton. She preceded him in death.

Surviving children are Loretta Tomschin of Chesterfield, Mo. and Peter Basler Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.

Eleven grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren also survive.

Surviving brothers and sisters are Martin Basler of Ste. Genevieve; Valentine Basler of Arnold; Arnold Basler of Arnold; Rose Marie Basler of St. Louis; Barbara Breig of St. Louis; and Roberta Breig of perryville.

One daughter, Dorothy Brissette and the following brothers and sisters preceded him in death: Eli Basler, Florence Buckholtz, May Werner, Bernice Geiler and Frances Bauman.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 19 from 4-8 p.m. at Stanton Wood Mortuary. Funeral servicve for Peter Anthony Basler St. will be Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Stanton Wood Mortuary. George Wood officiating. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
