Edwin L. Basler

Funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999 for 95-year-old Edwin L. Basler who died Monday at Riverview manor Nursing Home.

He was born on Oct. 20, 1904 in Bloomsdale, the son of the late Lawrence and Josephine (Wolk) Basler.

He was married to Ursula Vaeth. She preceded him in death.

One son, Tony Basler, survives in Ste. Genevieve.

Brothers and sisters surviving are Francis Basler of St. Louis; Leonard Basler of St. Louis; Walter Basler of Ste. Genevieve; Stella Kertz of Ste. Genevieve; Betty Samples of Ste. Genevieve; Genevieve Lala Trautman of Ste. Genevieve; and Olivia Trautman of Ste. Genevieve.

Two grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

A brother, Albert Basler, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Wednesday after 3 p.m. at Basler Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Edwin L. Basler will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Church of Ste. Genevieve. Rev. John Deken will officiate.

Burial in Valle Spring Cemetery.
