Ester A. Gant Funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 16, 1999 for 74-year-old Ester A. Gant who died Sunday at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. She was born on October 31, 1925 in Hayti, Mo., the daughter of the late Albert and Edith (Clark) Klingensmith. She was married to Vernon E. Gant. He survives. One daughter, Elaine, Mrs. Bill Howern, survives in Ste. Genevieve. Also surviving are the following step-children: Gary L. Gant of Alamogordo, New Mexico; Gail, Mrs. Jerry Brenner of Decatur, Ill.; and Beth Ann Warner of Decatur, Ill. One nephew, Ray Stewart, survives in High Point, North Carolina. Five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. A sister, Helen Smith, preceded her in death. Visitation will be Wednesday after 4 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home. Funeral service for Ester a. Gant will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Chapel. Rev. Dewey Shaefer will officiate. Burial in the Crestlawn Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve.
