Leonard C. Glaser A funeral will be held Monday, August 30th, for 92-year-old Leonard C. Glaser of Ste. Genevieve who died today, Saturday, August 28, at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital. He was born May 26th, 1907 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of John W. Glaser and Mary (Jokerst) Glaser who both preceded in death. He married Marie H. Abt. She preceded in death. He is survived by one son: Gerald Glaser of St. Louis and by one daughter: Marcella (Mrs. Cletus) Kraenzle of Ste. Genevieve. Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive. A brother and two sisters also preceded him in death. He was a carpenter and was instrumental in starting the Carpenter's Union in Ste. Genevieve and held several union offices until he retired in 1972. He was one of the oldest living carpenters left in the area and had worked for R. H. Roth Construction Company, Herzog Construction and for a short time before he retired he worked for Gerald Trautman. He was a member of the Church of Ste. Genevieve. Visitation will be Sunday after 5 p.m. at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve. A funeral for 92-year-old Leonard C. Glaser of Ste. Genevieve will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the church of Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. John C. Deken will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Valle Schools Foundation or Church of Ste. Genevieve Preservation Trust. |
