William F. Bauer

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 31st for 65-year-old William F. Bauer of Ste. Genevieve who died Sunday at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 21st, 1933 in Weingarten, the son of Adolph F. Bauer and Lavada E. (Baumgartner) Bauer who survives.

He married Estelle Chappell on June 30th, 1990 in Bloomsdale.

He is survived by the following children: James Adolph and Terri Bauer of Cape Girardeau; Geri Ann (Mrs. Gary) Vaeth of Ste. Genevieve; Janice (Mrs. James) Helms of Ste. Genevieve; Steven D. Brown of Dexter; William Brown of Bloomsdale; Lynn and Joan Brown of Charlotte, North Carolina; Cythine (Mrs. Robert) Nugent of Bloomsdale; Keith and Kim Brown of St. Louis; Gregory and Lucinda Brown of Ste. Genevieve and Susan (Mrs. Frank) Schillinger of Ste. Genevieve.

The following brothers and sisters also survive him: Robert Bauer of Ste. Genevieve, Eugene and Jane Bauer of River aux Vases, and Carl Bauer of Ste. Genevieve.

Two grandchildren also survive him: Sarah and Amanda Vaeth.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.

Visitation will be this (Monday) evening from 4-8 p.m. at the Stanton Wood Mortuary in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral mass for 65-year-old William F. Bauer of Ste. Genevieve will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Ste. Genevieve Catholic Church with burial in the Valle Springs Cemetery. The Rev. Matthew Mitus and Deacon George Wood will officiate.

Memorials may be made to mass or to the Valle School Foundation.
