John E. "Jack" Miller

A funeral will be held Tuesday, August 17, 1999 for 73-year-old John E. "Jack" Miller of Ste. Genevieve, who died Saturday, August 14th at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.

He was born November 24th, 1925 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of Leonard Miller and Lois (Lovelace) Miller who both preceded in death.

He married Vernetta "Nettie" Rodenmeyer on November 16th, 1946 in Ste. Genevieve. She survives.

He is also survived by one son: John Miller of Arlington, Tex. and a daughter: Jane (Mrs. Richard) Mueller of Chester, Ill.

In laws surviving are Rodney Bahr of St. Louis, Dottie Miller and Richard Mueller.

Eight grandchildren also survive him.

One daughter, Kathy Miller Bahr, and one sister, Sue Miller Brinkman, preceded him in death.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ste. Genevieve where over the years he held several church offices and was a long time member of the choir.

He was also a member of American Legion Post 150 in Ste. Genevieve, Saline Lodge AF and AM 226 in St. Mary and VFW Post 2210 in Ste. Genevieve.

He was a retired purchasing agent for Mississippi Lime Co.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today, Monday, August 16th at the Basler Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve.

A funeral for 73-year-old John E. "Jack" Miller of Ste. Genevieve will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Ste. Genevieve. Burial will be in the Valle Spring Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Bass will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
